Gold looks festive and warm on the dance floor. BD216 PU Gold is a women's dancesport shoe for the Latin programme, made from synthetic PU leather and part of the BD Dance line. It pairs with red, orange, brown and sand costumes and with gold details.
The upper may be synthetic, but the foot rests on a leather insole, which is softer and lets air through. The leather sole is flexible, and arch support holds the instep when you spend a lot of time on the ball of the foot. The toes sit in a five-strap front, while an adjustable strap under the foot pulls the shoe in so it does not slip around.
There are two heels to choose from: the flared EH4 (7.5 cm) gives more support at a quick samba tempo, and the slim EH13 (8.5 cm) is for dancers who already have good balance.
Latin shoes should sit close to the foot, so avoid going a size up – compare your foot length with the centimetres in the size chart.
