About these shoes
DescriptionAccessories
Heel protectors fit over the tip of a dance shoe heel. They protect the base of the heel when you walk off the dance floor – along corridors, on stairs or on hard floors – and protect the floor too. They also add friction, so the heel is less likely to slip.
Some competition organisers may ask dancers to use them, so keep a pair in your bag.
Protectors are chosen by heel shape:
- for flared and straight heels – EH11 (5 cm), EH10 (6.5 cm), EH9 (6.5 cm) and EH4 (7.5 cm);
- for slim heels – EH15 (7.5 cm), EH21 (8 cm) and EH13 (8.5 cm).
The heel code is in the name of your shoes, for example "BD216 Satin Tan3 EH4". With different heels, choose protectors for each pair separately.
